create method

Future<Operation> create(
  1. TagValue request, {
  2. bool? validateOnly,
  3. String? $fields,
})

Creates a TagValue as a child of the specified TagKey.

If a another request with the same parameters is sent while the original request is in process the second request will receive an error. A maximum of 1000 TagValues can exist under a TagKey at any given time.

request - The metadata request object.

Request parameters:

validateOnly - Optional. Set as true to perform the validations necessary for creating the resource, but not actually perform the action.

$fields - Selector specifying which fields to include in a partial response.

Completes with a Operation.

Completes with a commons.ApiRequestError if the API endpoint returned an error.

If the used http.Client completes with an error when making a REST call, this method will complete with the same error.

Implementation

async.Future<Operation> create(
  TagValue request, {
  core.bool? validateOnly,
  core.String? $fields,
}) async {
  final body_ = convert.json.encode(request);
  final queryParams_ = <core.String, core.List<core.String>>{
    if (validateOnly != null) 'validateOnly': ['${validateOnly}'],
    if ($fields != null) 'fields': [$fields],
  };

  const url_ = 'v3/tagValues';

  final response_ = await _requester.request(
    url_,
    'POST',
    body: body_,
    queryParams: queryParams_,
  );
  return Operation.fromJson(response_ as core.Map<core.String, core.dynamic>);
}
