commit method

Future<Operation> commit(
  1. CommitServicePerimetersRequest request,
  2. String parent, {
  3. String? $fields,
})

Commits the dry-run specification for all the service perimeters in an access policy.

A commit operation on a service perimeter involves copying its spec field to the status field of the service perimeter. Only service perimeters with use_explicit_dry_run_spec field set to true are affected by a commit operation. The long-running operation from this RPC has a successful status after the dry-run specifications for all the service perimeters have been committed. If a commit fails, it causes the long-running operation to return an error response and the entire commit operation is cancelled. When successful, the Operation.response field contains CommitServicePerimetersResponse. The dry_run and the spec fields are cleared after a successful commit operation.

request - The metadata request object.

Request parameters:

parent - Required. Resource name for the parent Access Policy which owns all Service Perimeters in scope for the commit operation. Format: accessPolicies/{policy_id} Value must have pattern ^accessPolicies/\[^/\]+$.

$fields - Selector specifying which fields to include in a partial response.

Completes with a Operation.

Completes with a commons.ApiRequestError if the API endpoint returned an error.

If the used http.Client completes with an error when making a REST call, this method will complete with the same error.

Implementation

async.Future<Operation> commit(
  CommitServicePerimetersRequest request,
  core.String parent, {
  core.String? $fields,
}) async {
  final body_ = convert.json.encode(request);
  final queryParams_ = <core.String, core.List<core.String>>{
    if ($fields != null) 'fields': [$fields],
  };

  final url_ =
      'v1/' + core.Uri.encodeFull('$parent') + '/servicePerimeters:commit';

  final response_ = await _requester.request(
    url_,
    'POST',
    body: body_,
    queryParams: queryParams_,
  );
  return Operation.fromJson(response_ as core.Map<core.String, core.dynamic>);
